Based out of Cincinnati Ohio, Devon Johnson and the Midnight Travelers are a band steeped in traditional bluegrass sound. Sporting a standard lineup of banjo, mandolin, rhythm guitar and bass, they pay homage to the sounds of Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, and The Stanley Brothers. Devon Johnson pays homage to some of the most powerful vocalists in Bluegrass music, taking most of his sound from Russell Moore, Jamie Dailey, and Paul Brewster. The band has the tight instrumentation and vocals associated with bands like the Country Gentleman, and spends hours practicing making everything tight. The band is currently gearing up to record in late 2017 featuring Devon Johnson on guitar and lead vocals, Trina Emig on Banjo, Will Kimbell on mandolin and Brain Saxton on upright bass.
