X*ACT is back and running full speed! We just completed one of our most ambitious and artistically satisfying seasons, beginning the comedic romp SYLVIA, through the intense drama RABBIT HOLE and on to A CHRISTMAS CAROL – a classic radio version written by Orson Welles. The second half of our season saw the return of favorite THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABDRIDGED) before closing out with two thought provoking historical dramas that were also area premieres – THESE SHINING LIVES and MAY 4 VOICES.
Our 2022-23 season is just as varied. Starting with Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe, where the poet stands alone in the flickering darkness of his mind, trying desperately to convince himself -- and us -- that he's not mad. Next we see the world of a Ukrainian child facing Christmas for the first time away from home. We then journey to one Hell of a waiting room in No Exit. Following that, we see women change what they don't like about their world in Lysistrata. We wrap the season with World Builders where two people build their own worlds.
Show times are 7pm Friday and Saturday, 3pm on Sundays. All performances are at the X*ACT Theater.
